Most medical-travel sites are a US call center with a Colombian logo. This one is run by an American who moved to Medellín, walked into the hospitals, and started asking for line items.
What we actually do
You tell us what you need. We send your case to up to 3 relevant independent providers, get back itemized quotes, and hand them to you side by side. If you book, we can arrange the airport pickup, a recovery apartment in El Poblado or Laureles, a bilingual driver for appointments, and a person to sit with you in the waiting room if you want one. Provider introductions may be compensated. Final provider pricing and terms come from the provider directly.
Why being here matters
A quote is only as good as the clinic behind it. From Medellín we can visit a facility the same week you ask about it, watch how the front desk treats patients, and confirm that the surgeon named on the quote is the one who will operate. Same time zone, same language on the phone with the clinic, same city when something needs sorting at 9 pm. A facilitator in Miami cannot do any of that, and it shows in the quotes they send.
How we vet
- Every surgeon is checked in ReTHUS, Colombia's public registry of licensed health professionals, before we send you their name.
- Hospitals are checked against the Joint Commission International directory. We only describe a facility as JCI-accredited when the hospital itself holds the accreditation.
- We ask every clinic for a written, itemized quote. Clinics that answer with a single number and a sales pitch do not make the shortlist.
- We visit. If we have not walked through it, we tell you that.
